The VPN Comfort Zone

Why Remote Access Is No Longer Enough for the Modern Workplace

Overview

For years, VPN was the default answer to remote access. It allowed users to connect into the corporate network and access the applications they needed.

But the workplace has changed. Users, contractors, partners and third parties now need secure access from different locations, devices and networks. At the same time, organisations are under pressure to reduce risk from credential theft, over-permissioned access and lateral movement.

The challenge is no longer simply how to replace VPN. The bigger question is whether users should be placed on the network at all.

In this customer-led session, we will explore how Universal ZTNA helps organisations move from broad network access to secure, identity-driven application access. We will discuss how to support hybrid work, third-party access and legacy application access while improving security and user experience.

Why attend?

Join this session if you are reviewing remote access, VPN, third-party access, contractor access or hybrid workplace security.

You will hear directly from a customer about why they moved beyond traditional access models, how they approached adoption, and what changed for their users, IT teams and security teams.

Key themes

  • Why VPN is no longer enough for modern workplace security
  • How Zero Trust changes the access model from network access to application access
  • How to reduce over-permissioned access and lateral movement risk

  • How to support employees, contractors, partners and unmanaged devices
  • Practical lessons from a real customer journey

Who should attend?

This session is designed for security, workplace, infrastructure, end-user computing and IT leaders responsible for remote access, hybrid work, third-party access, identity, application access or Zero Trust strategy.
